So you took the leap of faith and decided to start a business. Now what? God allowed your business to come to pass, but do you broadcast that to the world? Maybe. Maybe not. A lot of times, people don’t think faith and business can coexist.
People often base their businesses on logic and facts, but the fact of the matter is that having faith as the foundation of your business will have your business defying logic. Faith is the evidence of things hoped for and evidence of things unseen. So that means that you have to trust God even when it doesn’t make sense. Starting a business with no money sounds absolutely insane, but faith will bring you favor that your multiple degrees can’t bring you.
Don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong with education. Education is great. Getting the opportunity to go to school is a blessing in itself. However, we must not confuse education with favor.
Favor will give you resources in places where you don’t even know any one. Take for example Crystal Perkins, CEO of God and Goals. She was able to start a 6-figure brand with no money. All she had was faith. Even now, she has closed her main source of income, her store, but is still extremely prosperous in her business. Logic would’ve told her to keep the store open, but faith says different.
Scripture says in Nehemiah, “The God in heaven will give us success.” So if God gives us success, we have to be very intentional in our level of faith. We have to understand that everything that we are and everything that we have is because of Him. It does not matter what seems logical; God has the final say. In the blink of an eye, everything can be taken away, like it was with Job, and all you have left is God. So, you have to be intentional about putting God in the forefront of everything you do, including your business.
